Sometimes when I think I'm tired of speaking at conferences I take a deep breath and realize that I could instead have the misfortune of having to do, you know, actual work. :)

Signed,

I only get five minutes
to demo my product on Tuesday

Jan, I really appreciate that fact that you listened to my points and that you felt able to change things round a bit. I felt the session went really well, actually, with some great quesitons afterwards and I would like to hope that the other attendees got more out of it in that format. But props to you for sorting it all out so painlessly.

Perhaps I might suggest that if you do BlogTalk again next year, you could actually let people choose what sort of session they want to do, be it 1 hour, half an hour, Q&A or any other format. It's not that I don't believe there are good alternatives to the 1 hour traditional session format, but I was shocked to discover that I'd been scheduled at 10 mins without anyone asking me beforehand.

Suw, thanks for the feedback - while preparing the conference we were aiming to provide different formats for the sessions/slots, because for some presentations a plenary q&a would be preferable, while for others we thought the "open space" approach would be better.
Thankfully you spoke out to me, so we were able to change/adapt the organization of the sessions. I thought your presentation went very well (and was indeed better suited for a longer presentation time with plenary discussion). I hope you will have had some time to rest before the party later tonight.
