		<description>Just to reassure you, I was at your great presentation a couple of weeks back at the HR and Social Media Conference, and took copious notes. Unfortunately I can't read them...

But the presentation was great and we're taking steps to put some of the stuff you talked about into action.

		<description>Suw: the pleasure was mine - I was both relieved and heartened to find someone who says what I know to be true (but gets slapped around when up against the social media mavens.)

It is especially good to see someone talking good old fashioned common sense.

As I look around the consulting landscape there is way too much over complicating and in the social media context, lashing of BS. Your talk was a welcome reminder of basic 'stuff' we all need remember.

As a follow up, I asked colleagues about some of the things you mentioned about apps vendors. Apparently the naivety to which you alluded is a very common problem.

		<description>Looks like it was a good talk from Steph's notes. One thing I find that has changed since the 90's is the costs, one barrier that has lowered even if all the rest are still there. But a new barrier is often the IT department, previous guardians of the environment who controlled almost all access, are now being sidelined by employees who find these tools and try and get them in because they work well..and they are quick..and they are simple. finding a way to work with IT without treading on their toes is always needed.

		<description>&lt;strong&gt;FOWA: Enterprise Adoption of Social Software (Suw Charman)&lt;/strong&gt;

Here are my live notes of this Future of Web Apps (FOWA) session. They are probably incomplete and may contain mistakes, though I do my best to be accurate. Suw has written a blog post about her presentation.
