This is a such a brilliant post. There is no doubt whatsoever that social technology has a key role in the future of civil society. It is perfectly placed and formed. One key question though *has* to be how services and participation can be supported in such a way as to encourage collaboration between different civil society associations? This way people can make the most of the rich resource of distributed human activism and creativity and bring about transformational change. In the field of urban renewal, processes that bridge social and technological potentialities at the local scale, connect them with larger networks and do it all meaningfully can make a MASSIVE difference. Can't wait to see the finished work. Very cool. Thank you. :)

Dear Suw,
Thanks for using our white paper to make this important point! It reminded me of one of the diagrams in our white paper on page 24 where we've got all the partners involved in the public media 2.0 movement. Civil society is a leader here definitely. We look forward to the rest of this work!
Thanks,
